If you recently got engaged, chances are there’s just about a million things running through your mind to do before your big day. To help you get rid of some of that stress, we’ve got 5 things for you to take a look at first…
Venue & Guest List
Ladies, if you’ve recently gotten engaged, you’re probably already thinking about where the festivities will take place. To help you decide on the right venue, it’s best to come up with a rough list of guests that will be attending your special day. This will help you figure out the size of venue you need to look for. Once you have a rough estimate of who will be attending your special day, you can start to check out venues that fit the size of your guest list. This may also help you figure out if you need to cut down your list as well.
Dress & Accessories
You probably already have a good idea of what you want/like in a dress, so there’s no sense in wasting time! Plus...you want to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to decide on the perfect dress. Sometimes, the dress we envision ourselves in doesn’t look quite as good on as what we had previously imagined. Likewise, the dress we thought we’d never wear might just turn out to be exactly what we are looking for. The reality is: you just don’t know what you will end up liking OR what will look best on your body shape. Keep in mind that wedding dresses take at least 6 months to come in after ordering as well. If you’re not finding what you want in a retail store, be sure to reach out to a dressmaker as soon as possible. Once you’ve got the dress, you’ll need to accessorize; so, be sure to have a picture of you in your dress as you pick out a necklace, bracelet, earrings and of course, your wedding bands to make sure your entire look coordinates.

Save The Dates
Once you have a date that works for you, let your guests know, so they can plan to attend your special day. It might not be a bad idea to make sure that your venue, videographer and photographer are available on that day as well before you send out your save the dates.
Lastly, you’re going to want to capture your special day on film, so be sure to get suggestions on great videographers and photographers in your area. Just like venues, photographers and videographers tend to book up pretty quickly as well. Lots of photographers include an engagement session in their packages, so be sure to ask for a full breakdown of what’s included in each package as you decide on someone to capture your memories. Wedding planning can be stressful, but it’s always nice to tick a few things off your list right away, and taking a look at these 4 things can help you do just that. Hang in there...it will all come together, and will work out just as it should!
